Helen Turner PPAI

Born in Glasgow 1937 she trained at the design studio of James Templeton while attending Glasgow School of Art. Continuing a design career, she became a documented designer in Aubusson, Savonnary and Bauvais with her designs in many prestigious establishments throughout the world until she resigned in 1990 to paint full time.

Helen has exhibited in the RGI, PAI and GSWA and is a Past President of the Paisley Art Institute. She has exhibited widely in Scotland and the UK in group and solo shows and her work is in many major private and public collections.

Working in oil, Helen’s strong brush marks are exhilarating and exciting mirroring her love for the Scottish land and sea, which she captures with such vigour and dexterity.
