David Martin RGI RSW

Born in 1922 he attended Glasgow School of Art. From 1942-46 was in the RAF but then resumed his studies at GSA. A Honorary member of the SSA, an elected member of the RGI and the RSW, David has had many major sell out exhibitions since 1965 and has won several awards for painting at the RSW, the SSA and a prize winner at the Laing Exhibition and his work is in many prestigious private and corporate collections both nationally and internationally. His biography is listed in several dictionaries and his work has featured in many magazines.

The abstract qualities of his landscapes and still lifes is an ongoing process of discovery for David, heightening the awareness of his surroundings, creating an excitement of composition and colour.
