Jock MacInnes RGI RSW

Born in 1943 he graduated from Glasgow School of Art and became a teacher there for 25 years until he resigned to paint full time. He is an elected member of the RGI. Winner of numerous painting prizes and awards he has had many successful solo shows in Scotland and the UK. And his work is in many private and public collections worldwide.

Working in oil, he describes himself as a modernist at heart inspired by Matisse, Braque… as well as Nicholson Wallis and Scott.. His unique style of painting on gesso board is both painted, drawn and etched on the panel a technique which has its roots in the St Ives Schools which plays a significant roll in his work.
