Norman Kirkham RGI
Born in 1936 he attended Glasgow School of Art. He is a past president of
Glasgow Art Club, a past Honorary Secretary for RGI hanging their annual
shows for nearly a decade. Having had many solo and group exhibitions to
include the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, he has won several awards
for his paintings at the RGI and his work is in many major private and public
collections.
Norman loves the tactile quality paint. Influences include the Scottish
Colourists and the Glasgow Boys. His strength lies in composition and his
interests extend from still life and landscape through to portraiture and
genre painting.
