Nael Hanna
Born in 1959 in Nineva, Nothern Iraq, he was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Education to study art in Britain and accepted a Fine Art degree at Duncan of Jordanstone college of Art, Dundee. Winning a scholarship at Hospitalfield Summer school it was during this time that he developed his passion for the East coast of Scotland and its ever changing weather, which he made his home. He is a regular exhibitor at RSA RGI SSA and SSAC and has had major solo shows with prominent galleries throughout the UK and his work is in public and private collections worldwide.
Inspired by his fascination with the elements displayed in the Scottish
landscapes and coastlines, his paintings are an amalgamation of passion
and energy.
